Living a Zero Waste Lifestyle does not have to be difficult or extremely expensive. It can be the opposite. Aspiring to live a simpler life, stepping away from the consumerist throwaway society has lots of benefits that will also have a positive affect on your wallet.

What is it all about?

Living Zero Waste means that we try to adopt some principles from the circular Economy theory by using less resources and creating minimal waste.

The founder of the world wide movement, Bea Johnson explains that there are steps to be taken to live a low waste life; and these are:

Refuse what you do not need,

Reduce what you do need,

Reuse what you consume,

Recycle what you cannot Refuse, Reduce or Reuse, and

Rot (Compost) the rest.

It takes a while to adopt these steps as it needs change of behaviour. Something that we are so accustomed, convenience, now has to be rethought.
